Synopsis

This books continue the story of Clary, who is now in Idris, the city of Shadowhunters. The Lightwoods doesn’t about it, because Jace lie to all of them. Clary feels betrayed by his actions, discussions and a really bad communication makes things more complicated. But she has something more important to do. Save her mom. She needs help, and the only one who is willing to help her is a perfect stranger.Who seems to be hiding something dark.
At the same, Valentine is ready to create the perfect world at his eyes, but, he is missing one of the Mortal Instruments, the Mirror. Valentine is decided to murder all the Underworld creatures by only making a wish. A ritual, and everyone has fear about the destiny of the world.
Even though it took me almost a moth to finish the book (because of exams and projects) I was really into the book. There is action, but not as the first two books, in City of Glass there is suspense and intrigue, the answers to all the questions in the previous books of the series are in this one. I loved the way Cassandra developed this book, all the sceneries she wanted to create I imagined perfectly on my head, the way she introduced us in Idris is perfect, we can read all about the government of the Shadowhunters community. We met the ones who are in charge everything related to the Shadowhunters world, and the way they think.

In the middle of the secrets and drama of the history, the relationship between Clary and Jace turns more complicated than before, both want something but they can’t have it. And Clary’s power developed through all the story, even she doesn’t know how to fight.
When I started reading the actions of Clary desperate me, at a level I wanted to quit reading, but the curiosity won me. Specially at the end. Nevertheless, I was unsatisfied with the end of Valentine, I wanted more flavor.
I really love this book, the secrets and truths tell in this book maintain me reading. I wanted to know what happened in the past with Valentine and Jocelyn, what was the true history behind Valentine cruelty.
If you liked the first two books, dreamers, you can miss City of Glass.
