*A book to know better Mexican society. *

Summary

This volume concentrates a selection of articles that Jorge Ibargüengoitia wrote for the newspaper Excelsior from 1969 to 1976. This material explores the ironic aspect of living in a country like Mexico. Although it is almost always Ibargüengoitia itself directly affected by the feints of the bureaucracy or the failures of public services, his ability to watch these avatars with detachment leads him to extract from boredom and bad humor funny anecdotes and, above all, , critics.

Opinion

This books tell us how Mexicans used to live the last century, every aspect of their live, this because is what the autor of the book observed when he was alive. Jorge Ibargüengoitia tell us a realistic perspective of social, political and economic aspects of Mexico.

This book really maintain me thinking about Mexico of today, because is really similar to the Mexico it was a century ago. How is possible that a country could not change in a century? The book surprised me, because all the topic it speaks about.

The book told about the educational system of Mexico, how the books remain the same through the years. How the government change the true history of the heroes of Mexico, how they change the things to their favor. It also, speaks about corruption in the government.

On the other hand, tell us the familiar movements and traditions, and the smoke that hide the secrets of the well known “Mexican hospitality “.

A book to know better Mexican society.

See you later, dreamers.
