Sypnosis
When fifteen-year-old Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder― much less a murder committed by three teenagers covered with strange tattoos and brandishing bizarre weapons. Then the body disappears into thin air. It's hard to call the police when the murderers are invisible to everyone else and when there is nothing―not even a smear of blood―to show that a boy has died. Or was he a boy?
This is Clary's first meeting with the Shadowhunters, warriors dedicated to ridding the earth of demons. It's also her first encounter with Jace, a Shadowhunter who looks a little like an angel and acts a lot like a jerk. Within twenty-four hours Clary is pulled into Jace's world with a vengeance when her mother disappears and Clary herself is attacked by a demon. But why would demons be interested in ordinary mundanes like Clary and her mother? And how did Clary suddenly get the Sight? The Shadowhunters would like to know...

Summary
This book tell us the story of Clary, a normal girl with a normal life. Until she realize she can see thinks no many can. When she met Jace, Alec and Isabelle and all the world the was obligated to forgot, her life change forever.
At the beginning it was weird for me to think of vampires, faeries, angels and demons together, because it is not usual to read or watch this idea on books and movies. I mean, there are only angels and demons or werewolves and vampires but not all this popular criatures together in one universe. It is really uncommon. In conclusion, I got a really difficult time to get used to this idea, and at the end, I like it. I mean, this gives the book something fresh and unique.
<<- Subways are those that share the world of shadows with others. We have always lived in precarious peace with them. -As vampires, werewolves and ... - Fantastic beings. Fairies And the creatures of Lilith, being half demons, are sorcerers.>>
As I continued reading more do I liked the plot. The idea of rescue Clary's mom from a man who wants to make something good for humanity but in a wrong way, who has more secrets that he allies refuses to believe. It's exciting. This book develops faster than I thought, ¡a week in five hundred pages! ¡That's a lot of information to process! Also, this book has very good scenes of fight i really liked, the way Cassandra describes it, ¡it's awesome!. I mean, I imagined everything, the way Clary saw a demon, how he smelled, EVERYTHING.
At the beginning of the book I didn't had a lot of expectations, but I really enjoyed it.
If you love magical creatures, this is your book dreamers.
