<<Do you know what it’s like to like someone so much you can’t stand it and know that they’ll never feel the same way? Probably not.>>

But one day Lara Jean discovers that somehow her secret box of letters has been mailed, causing all her crushes from her past to confront her about the letters: her first kiss, the boy from summer camp, even her sister's ex-boyfriend, Josh.

As she learns to deal with her past loves face to face, Lara Jean discovers that something good may come out of these letters after all.

-Jenny Hann, To All The Boys I’ve Ever Loved Before

It was a mistake watching the movie before reading the book.

When I first knew the second movie it was going to be released this year, I thought ‘I have to read the book first’ and the I had this other thought ‘I have to read the first book before reading the second one’. Because, not any adaptation is perfect. So, here I am, writing this review.

So, as I mentioned before, it was a mistake watching the movie first (gee, it’s a really good movie), because, all the book I couldn’t stop imagining Noah Centineo as Peter Kavinsky and Lana Condor as Lara Jean. I mean, they did a really good job giving life to the characters of the book.

If you have watch the movie and then read the book, you’ll realize that the movie keeps all the esense of the books.

With this I refer, that Lara Jean, is a really innocent and shy girl, she is introvert and a homebody person. She isn’t the most social girl of school, and, she is not the most outstanding girl. As is the movie is shown. Jenny Hann makes a really good job describing all the thoughts and feeling of this character, (the book is narrated by Lara), she is a complex human been, with all of this worries and changes all girl face in some moment of her life.

Lara and Peter’s relation is cute and innocent, the perfect first love couple you can imagine.

Even if you think this book is all about the romance between Lara and Peter, this is not true. Jenny Hann focuses in all the changes that happens to Lara since the beginning of the book, all the fears she has to face. Is a book, where the main character grows.

As I mentioned before, this book has the perspective of Lara, and I had the sensation that this book is really girly, it was like every scene that I imaginated on my head was cover with pink. Everything is so innocent and cute, that seems like a dream. For example, the family dynamic feels like the perfect family, even when it’s not. And, let’s not talk about how Lara idealize Margot.

The way, Jenny writes makes this book easy to read. The way words are ordered makes this book fluid and clear to imagine.

To All The Boys I’ve Ever Loved Before is a book you have to read if you are looking for something sweet and cute.
