Synopsis
Jason has a problem.

When a freak storm hits during the school trip, unleashing strange creatures and whisking her, Jason, and Leo away to someplace called Camp Half-Blood, she has a feeling she’s going to find out.

When he sees his cabin at Camp Half-Blood, filled with power tools and machine parts, he feels right at home. But there’s weird stuff, too—like the curse everyone keeps talking about, and some camper who's gone missing. Weirdest of all, his bunkmates insist that each of them—including Leo—is related to a god. Does this have anything to do with Jason's amnesia, or the fact that Leo keeps seeing ghosts?

This book bring us new adventures for new demigods. New characters, new monsters and the beginning of the new Big Prophecy.
Jason remember anything. He just wakes up in a bus full of kids, holding a girl hand, in the middle of the desert. He wasn’t supposed to be there, but he can't remember where is from. He just knows that his name is Jason, and for some reason he has a cent that can turns into a sword, and the knows something about combat, for not dying when some storm spirits attack him.
Piper doesn’t what is happening. Her boyfriend doesn’t recognize her or Leo. His father is missing, and she is having nightmares. She is supposed to betray her friends in order to save his father. In the middle of a school trip, some spirits attack them and they arrives to Camp Half-blood.
Leo is happy, his cabin mates, or brothers and sisters, have a room full of tools he can use, but they talk about a curse and a boy who is missing. But, he has a secret, and he founds out is that he is dangerous. He is a freak.
Something bad is happening, and demigod if Camp Half-blood knows it. Gods have closed Olympus doors. Percy has gone missing and only Hera has communicated with Annabeth, she must find the guy with one shoe. A new prophecy and only the newest can go on a quest without training. They must rescue Hera out of her prison.

This book is set just a few months after the battle of The Last Olympian, so it is not necessary to read the previous books. Our main characters of this book are new, and as the story goes by, Rick introduced us to the monsters and the gods.
What I like to notice is that Uncle Rick include new gods, just as minor gods and the Olympians; he aldo introduced to new monsters and there is more danger, more adventure and more action. The author has maintain the essence of the characters we already new (from the previous books), he translated perfectly into this book. But he aldo add new element to the characters, they have their own personalities, insecurities and thoughts, their own strengths.
Other thing that I like it was that Uncle Rick write from different perspectives of the characters. This way we get to know them better, how they are, feel and think about different situations in the book, and not just the main character. We also read what happens when they separate from each other and how they deal with challenges.
At the same time, I like the way the main character fight against their fears, their insecurities, how develop and discover more about the. They are new demigods, powerful ones and they know it, but they have fear of admit it. But one the are in the battle field, their powers can made the difference between dead and life.
The Lost Hero is a book full of action, mystery and fantasy, Is a book I really like a lot, not only because is my favourite author, it’s because I like the way the story develops. How the mysteries solve, how they form part of an everything.
If you are looking for a book full of battles, monsters and gods, this is definitely your book Dreamers.
