<< You will rummage in the darkness of the endless maze,

The dead, the traitor and the disappeared rise up.

You will rise or fall into the hands of the king of ghosts.

Destroy a hero with his last breath.

And you will lose a love in the face of something worse than death >>

-The Battle of the Labyrinth, Rick Riordan

Synopsis

Percy Jackson isn't expecting freshman orientation to be any fun. But when a mysterious mortal acquaintance appears at his potential new school, followed by demon cheerleaders, things quickly move from bad to worse.

In this fourth installment of the blockbuster series, time is running out as war between the Olympians and the evil Titan lord Kronos draws near. Even the safe haven of Camp Half-Blood grows more vulnerable by the minute as Kronos's army prepares to invade its once impenetrable borders. To stop the invasion, Percy and his demigod friends must set out on a quest through the Labyrinth - a sprawling underground world with stunning surprises at every turn.

This books tell us another adventure of Percy, Annabeth, Grover and Tyson, who fight against Luke and Kronos to defeat Camp Half-Blood, and for that they must go into Minos Labyrinth, a construction made by Daedalus, the famous architect of Greece, who, it seems, to be alive.

In this book, they follow path without end, running from monsters that want to kill them, fighting for their lives, and meeting gods never thought they would met. They traveled throughout the United States for the search of a old demigod.

At the same time, Nico Di Angelo, is searching for revenge against Percy. Tutor by a ghost Percy does not recognise, both face the truth, and an old friend help them to solve their problems. On the other side, Luke’s army is growing stronger each day, and they want to kill all of the demigods of Camp Half-Blood. Everything seems wrong that summer.

<< Do we agree that Annabeth should lead the search? >>

-The Battle of the Labyrinth, Rick Riordan

I like this books because Percy is growing stronger each year, he seems to be learning more about his powers and this ability with the sword improves each day. Without any doubt a powerful demigod. This book is full with challenges and adventures for the characters, specially Annabeth, who is the leader of this quest.

If you liked the first three books of the saga, you would like this book.
