Summary

Gwyneth Shepherd's sophisticated, beautiful cousin Charlotte has been prepared her entire life for traveling through time. But unexpectedly, it is Gwyneth, who in the middle of class takes a sudden spin to a different era!

Gwyneth must now unearth the mystery of why her mother would lie about her birth date to ward off suspicion about her ability, brush up on her history, and work with Gideon--the time traveler from a similarly gifted family that passes the gene through its male line, and whose presence becomes, in time, less insufferable and more essential. Together, Gwyneth and Gideon journey through time to discover who, in the 18th century and in contemporary London, they can trust.

Opinion

Gwyneth Shepherd is like other girls, she likes movies and gossip with his best friend. But, her life took an unexpected twist. She is a time-traveler and not her cousin Charlotte, who has been trained for the moment she jumped in time for years! A secret lodge that has been in London for more than five hundred years, a world of mysteries and secrets opens to Gwyneth. And no one to trust. The people of the lodge do not trust her because of the lie of the mother of Gwyneth and she hasn't been trained for time-travel.

I love most of the characters in this book. Specially, Gwyneth ‘s friend, Leslie, she and Gwyneth made me laugh thousand of times through the pages, a unique couple, the perfect duo. Then, is Gideon the Villers, the perfect guy, the dream of any girl, the prince behind the bay guy appearance. And, let's not forget the perfect princess Charlotte, arrogant outside, but sad and lonely inside. I almost forgot,Count Saint-Germain, an old man with more secrets than anyone.

Rubi Red is a history with trillions of secrets and mysteries, with more questions than answers which makes it catchy and intriguing. On the other side, a book that disappointed me, because is only the introduction of one history, not like other sagas I ever read(different histories with different plots in each book, united to create a hole plot) , that of course, makes it unique. Also, it's foreword and epilogue make you reflect about the background of the history.

A book you can stop reading.

See you later, dreamers.
