In this series we meet Percy, a guy who is a demigod. Son of the god of the seas, Poseidon. A powerful demigod with his destiny mark because of a prophecy that says we must take a decision that could save or end the world.
Through five books we read how he survive through great dangers, how he survives of various quests, along with his friends, Annabeth and Grover. Annabeth is the daughter of Athena, god of wisdom. Ans Grover is a satyr, best friend of Percy.
The three try to avoid that Kronos, titan of time, attack Mount Olympus and destroy everything we know. Is a dangerous task, but the three fight against monsters and gods to save the world.
Rick Riordan writes in a way is really easy to understand, you can imagine what happens as the he describes it. The way he describes what the characters are into, makes really easy to imagines what is happening. Also, all greek vocabulary, he explains it through Percy words, so it's really easy to know what he is talking about.
I love this saga. As a bookworm, you know what the characters feel, what they think, everything that involves a dramatic situation and how they solve them. That’s why this serie takes a piece of my heart with it. Suspense and action moments maintain me reading, also the thousands ways the main characters almost died. And, even if you hated the villain, Rick gives us a great lection to remember.
If you like action and adventure, this is definitely a serie you can’t miss.
