This book tell us the story of Levana and how she was able to be queen of Luna, even if she is a second child.

This book starts with a young Levana, with only sixteen years old she lost her parents. Who were murdered in the middle of the night while they were sleeping. Everyday is a different person, everything after she was involved in a horrible accident. .

After that, Levana is a timid, with low esteem. Her sister, Channary is always revealing her secrets, disturbing her, teasing her. Nevertheless, the young princess is intelligent, clever and ambitious.

<<-Come, lil’ sis. I want to show you something. >>

-Fairest, Marissa Meyer

I was able to understood Levana, the reason why she took those decisions that transform her into the villain in the other books of the saga. But, nothing justifies her past. She was young, mark by the injustice of her family, the princess suffer in many ways. Even though she has a painful past, she wants to do the right thing for her people, even if the decision she take are clouded by her thirst of power.

This book is located in Moon, Marissa tell us how people there live, their royalty, their slang that refers of astrological thing, such as “the full Earth”, slang that is different from Earth. I like that Marissa tell us more about Moon.

Even if this book is short, I love it. I shouted, I got excited,I stopped reading just because young Levama is fool and impulsive with her wishes. There were a lot of feelings, that the moment I finished the book I couldn’t stop think about it. This book is cruel, strong and realistic.
