Stars Above is a book that contains extra stories about the characters we met in the Lunar Chronicles saga. These stories happen before or after the events in the books and are the following:
*The Guardian: This story tells us, from Michelle Benoit's perspective, how Cinder came to Earth, how was her recovery process and how she became the android that she is in this saga.
It also tells us more about the little family of a little Scarlet, who is unaware of the danger around her and of her grandmother's fear of hiding a lunar princess in her garage.
*Fails: How did Cinder feel when he arrived at his new home? How was she received by her new family? Why is Adri blame her for the death of her husband? This story answers these questions. Fails tells us from Cinder's perspective how he feels with all the new things that happen in his world now that he has a metallic foot and hand and a new family.
*The Queen's Army: Have you ever wondered if Wolf wanted to be a modified soldier? Why was Wolf different from the other soldiers? How did Wolf get to become the alpha of his pack?
The queen's army tells us exactly that. A painless process, a new family, and many repressed feelings is what a Wolf of only twelve years of age conceals.
*The Carswell Guide to Good Luck: This fragment I liked too much since it is narrated by Carswell, the favorite character of many, is undoubtedly the funniest fragment of this book. Thorne never disappoints us with his sense of humor.
With this story we got to know heavier little Thorne and why he always wanted a Rampion, as well as his little family and the school he attended.

*When the day is over: This little story tells us a little more about the past of the past of the little Cress and what she experienced as an empty one in Luna before moving to her small satellite.
*The Princess and the Guard: Since I knew the story of Winter, I've always wondered what really happened so that the princess will stop using her gift. Why did Jacin give up his dream of being a doctor? This story answers those questions.
In the same way we can read more of the friendship between Winter and Jacin long before knowing that both loved in a more romantic way as shown in the fourth book of the saga.
*The Little Android: Are there other androids besides Iko that can feel?
This story happens in the same world of Lunar Chronicles, however, the protagonist of this story is different from any other. What happens when an android falls in love with a human?
Mech 6.0 in just one construction droid, however, when an engineer falls into a cylinder of oil, she does not hesitate to save his life. She knows something is wrong with her system. When a mechanic indicates that they are going to disarm her, she does not hesitate to flee from there. She still has to see the handsome engineer she rescued and see if he is well.
*Mechanics: Have not you wondered what Kai thought when he first saw Cinder?
A hot day in the middle of summer, a young prince who seeks to escape everything that is happening in the palace, with his father sick with the letumosis, the ambassador of Luna watching and his decomposed android. Could something improve?
Only then, in the middle of looking to go unnoticed by the market crowd, Kai meets a mechanic, which is not at all what he expected.
*Something Old, Something New: What happened after Cinder accepted the lunar crown? Did our protagonists keep in touch despite the distance? Did Kai and Cinder get married?
A funny story, full of love and friendship, as well as love between the characters and a new beginning for everyone after the war against Levana.

<<But, for then, she was gigant, brilliant and infinite>>

Undoubtedly this book completed my desire to see a "And lived happily ever after" of the protagonists with whom I excited and scream and I despaired, in short, with whom I almost pulled the hair out of my head. In this book we come to know his past and we come to imagine his future.
An end to a story with an open ending.
