Since the first time I began reading this book, I fell in love with the story. I have many things to say, but right now, I can’t think about anything. This book brought me a lot of feelings, even if it is a retailing of Cinderella, this book does not compare to the original story,
I mean, this book is focus in the future, where there is people living in the moon, and the Fourth Worldwide War has already happen. The main character of this book is Cinder, a teenager who is a cyborg, because of this she is abused by her stepmother and sisters, she is forced to work as a mechanic to feed the family (she is the only one working), while they enjoy having fun and do “normal” stuff. Obviously, for this story be similar to Cinderella, there is a ball, in a palace, where the prince is going to be. A prince, who is desired by every woman in the kingdom.
Ah, Prince Kai is really something, he is intelligent and clever. he does care about his people, and the illness that is killing half of the population of his kingdom. But not everything is easy for him, he is under the eyes of everyone, especially when he has to be polite with the woman he hates the most.
Queen Levana is a girl who is ambitious, someone who will do whatever it takes to have what she wants. Even if the book does not really show us many thing about her, is someone, I really began to hate.
Through all the book I have a lot feelings, in some chapters I was angry because of the things that happens to the main characters, but, in the next one, I was feeling love because of the interaction of Cinder and Kai. It was beautiful.
There is also drama and mystery, not everything is magic and mystical creatures, there is more, there is technology and reality, at the same time, it has comedy and romance in this book. It has most of the genres you can imagine.
I really recommend this book Dreamers.
