Review:

This book is as cute and beautiful as the previous book. I just couldn't stop fangirling while reading the book, even though it is longer than its predecessor, and it took me a couple more hours to read it, I couldn't separate myself from it as I immersed myself in Nick and Charlie's romance.

After the heart-stopping end of the first volume of this story (which I had to reread, btw), we find ourselves at the crossroads of feelings for Nick and Charlie, and the million dollar question: is Nick going to accept Charlie's feelings?

Although this question is resolved very quickly in the book, we also find the great situation that is practically the plot of the story, the discovery of Nick's sexuality and his coming out of the closet to others.

To be honest, I loved this part, because there are actually very few books that deal in depth with this in the books (or maybe I haven't read much of these books), and Alice Osman handled it in a proper and simple way. Although if I had I would have liked a bit of introspection regarding Nick's perspective, I loved the way Nick and Charlie dealt with situations that came their way.

“Wow, look who's the one apologizing too much now!”

-Heartstopper: Volume Two, Alice Oseman

Without a doubt, a quite healthy and exemplary relationship, since both trust each other and do not get carried away by jealousy or do anything else that toxic couples do. Both remain strong despite adversity.

In my opinion Nick is the one who presents the greatest development in this story, since Charlie is a great support for him and discovering this new version of himself. Although, as I mentioned earlier, I would have liked a bit more introspection from Nick's perspective. I can't help but mention the way the relationship between the two grows in small steps in this book, but it was just beautiful.

Final Opinion

Is it possible not to love the story of Nick and Charlie? In this book we continue with the story of Nick and Charlie, new challenges stand in front of both of them. Challenges that undoubtedly strengthen them as a couple and as people. A healthy relationship, based on trust, respect and mutual support, which I definitely loved completely.

And that even though I would add a little more introspection to Nick's perspective, I wouldn't really change the story at all.
